Age should not be a hindrance to your greatness.
In my own experience, age has been a hindering factor to many excellent opportunities because anyone who is deemed, ‘older’ makes one feel inferior and too young in the game to have enough experience.
It extremely thwarts me to see that smart minds have been eliminated or disqualified for key leadership roles in different spaces due to their age. I do not just get it, this adequately explains why most people do not even say their age because you will be surprised by how smart and wise they are. I once read an article and the writer was speculating the young generation wants everything on a silver platter and that they want quick money. Adeptly, I would agree with him only to some considerable extent, but not every youthful person is that way. I feel so bad when such generalizations are made, knowing how much I have proactively worked to establish my personal brand, and climb up to certain leadership spaces on my own without being mentored and just doing life, clueless about certain workspaces but learning as the days pass by.
In lieu of this, I believe that the young people are innovative, creative, and strategic enough to learn and grow in these spaces. We all learn through the different circumstances in life. Some people will disrespect you at your workplace and never listen to you because you are young. That should not restrict you, do not slough off, try to instantly make changes, and believe in yourself.
In a logical conclusion, age should not be a hindrance to your potential greatness. Intentionally keep working hard, stand firm and never compromise your values so that you can please others. You are uniquely positioned in that place for a reason. It will be hard, frustrating, and discouraging but keep moving, bequeath a legacy that everyone will live to remember.
